To ensure secure transactions and professional technical operations, the e-commerce platform, website maintenance, and billing/payment processing services are managed and operated by Gretor LTD, a digital services company registered in the United Kingdom.

5. Product Characteristics (Handmade & Vintage Nature)

Many of our products are unique, one-of-a-kind, handcrafted, or vintage.

Handmade & Natural Materials: Items featuring driftwood, sea glass, beach pottery, pebbles, or ceramics are handcrafted. Variations in color, shape, size, and texture are inherent characteristics of these materials and are not considered defects.
Vintage & Vinyl Records: Vintage items and vinyl records are sold in “as-described” and “as-shown” pre-owned condition. We make every effort to provide honest, detailed descriptions and grading. By purchasing, you acknowledge and accept the vintage nature of these products.

6. Terms of Sale

By placing an order, you are offering to purchase a product on and subject to the following terms and conditions. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price.

(a) Our Contract

When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement email confirming receipt of your order: this email will only be an acknowledgement and will not constitute acceptance of your order. A contract between us will not be formed until we send you confirmation by email that the goods which you ordered have been dispatched to you. Only those goods listed in the confirmation email sent at the time of dispatch will be included in the contract formed.

In order to contract with Caprineli Art, you must be over 18 years of age and possess a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable to us. We retain the right to refuse any request made by you.

(b) Pricing, Availability, and Descriptions

While we try and ensure that all details, descriptions, and prices which appear on this Website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of any goods which you have ordered, we will inform you of this as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.

(c) Payment & Billing Operations

Upon receiving your order, we carry out a standard authorization check on your payment card to ensure there are sufficient funds to fulfill the transaction. Your card will be debited upon authorization being received.

All direct payments on the store (Stripe, Credit/Debit cards) are processed and secured via Gretor LTD. Consequently, charges on your bank/card statement will appear under the name Gretor LTD or Caprineli.

(d) Shipping, Dispatch, and Customs

Dispatch Location: All physical goods are safely packaged and dispatched directly from our workshop/studio in Greece (EU).
Shipping Method: To ensure maximum safety, all orders are shipped via Registered Mail (Hellenic Post – ELTA) or reliable courier services and include a tracking number.
Dispatch Times: Standard items are usually dispatched within 1–3 business days. Dispatch times may vary according to availability and are subject to any delays resulting from postal delays or force majeure, for which we will not be responsible.
Customs and Import Duties: For international buyers (especially outside the European Union), any customs duties, import taxes, or clearance fees applied by the destination country are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

7. Returns and Cancellation Policy

(a) EU Right of Withdrawal (Standard Returns)

In accordance with European Union consumer protection laws, customers residing in the EU have the right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 days of receiving their physical goods.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be in its original, unused, and undamaged condition, packaged in its original wrapping.
The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and must use a trackable shipping method.
A refund will be issued once the returned item is received and inspected by us.

(b) Custom-Made and Personalized Exceptions

Please note that the EU 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to custom-made, personalized, or made-to-order products (e.g., custom-sized jewelry, custom canvas paintings, personalized crafts). Sales for these items are final and cannot be returned or refunded unless they arrive damaged or defective.

(c) Damaged in Transit

If a delicate item (such as glass, ceramics, or vinyl) arrives damaged:

You must notify us at [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery.
You must provide clear photos of the damaged product as well as the shipping packaging.
Upon validation, we will arrange for a replacement (if available) or a full refund.
