1. Our Shipping Philosophy & Packaging Standards

At Caprineli Art, we treat every single dispatch with the respect it deserves. We understand that shipping delicate paintings, fragile sea-glass jewelry, driftwood crafts, and vintage vinyl records requires specialized care. We do not use cheap, flimsy envelopes.

  • For Vinyl Records: We use heavy-duty, stiff cardboard record mailers designed specifically to prevent corner dings and seam splits. If you purchase rare or vintage records, they are securely packed to avoid any movement during transit.
  • For Handcrafted Art & Jewelry: We use rigid, crush-resistant boxes, generous layers of bubble wrap, and eco-friendly packing peanuts to ensure your unique items are fully protected against drops and pressure.

All orders are packed and dispatched directly from our private workshop and studio in Greece (EU).

2. Certified & Registered Shipping (Tracking Included)

To ensure maximum safety, we ship strictly via Registered and Certified Mail with a Tracking Number. We utilize the Hellenic Post (ELTA) as our primary carrier, which partners with your local national postal provider (e.g., USPS for the USA, Royal Mail for the UK, Deutsche Post for Germany) once the package enters your country. For domestic orders within Greece, we may also utilize reliable local courier services.

As soon as your package is dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your unique tracking number and a link to track your shipment.

3. Estimated Delivery Times & Processing

We work diligently to get your orders on their way as quickly as possible. Please note the following timelines:

  • Processing/Dispatch Time: Standard in-stock items (such as vintage vinyl, ready-made paintings, and existing jewelry) are carefully packaged and dispatched within 1 to 3 business days. Custom-made or personalized creations will have specific creation times which will be agreed upon individually before purchase.
  • Delivery to Greece: Typically takes 2 to 5 business days after dispatch.
  • Delivery to Europe: Typically takes 5 to 10 business days after dispatch.
  • Delivery to North America (USA & Canada): Typically takes 10 to 20 business days after dispatch.
  • Delivery to Asia, Australia & Rest of the World: Typically takes 12 to 25 business days after dispatch.

Please note: These are estimated delivery windows provided by the postal services. Delays can occasionally occur due to customs processing, extreme weather, or local postal disruptions.

4. How to Track Your Package

Once you receive your tracking number, you can monitor its progress through the following official channels:

  • While the package is in Greece: The official ELTA Tracking Portal.
  • Once the package leaves Greece: We highly recommend entering your tracking number directly into your country’s national postal service website (e.g., USPS, Royal Mail, La Poste, etc.) for the most accurate and up-to-date local delivery updates.

5. Combined Shipping & Multiple Orders

To help you save on shipping fees, please ensure that you place a single order containing all the items you wish to purchase. If you place multiple separate orders by mistake, please contact us immediately at [email protected]. Due to our automated processing system, we cannot guarantee that separate orders can be merged once they are sent to packing, but we will do our absolute best to accommodate your request if notified in time.

For very large orders, we reserve the right to split your purchase into multiple securely packed parcels to comply with postal weight limits and to guarantee the safety of fragile items.

6. Secure Addresses & PayPal/Stripe Guidelines

To prevent delivery failures and delays, please ensure your shipping details are perfect:

  • PayPal Address Protection: If you pay via PayPal, we are required by law and payment provider rules to ship exclusively to the address registered on your PayPal transaction. Please verify that your PayPal address is correct and updated before completing your checkout.
  • Address Modifications: If you request an address change after payment, we may need to cancel and refund your order so you can re-purchase with the correct address. Please note that any non-refundable transaction fees deducted by payment gateways may be subtracted from your refund.
  • No PO Boxes or Packing Stations: Because our shipping requires a physical signature upon delivery for security, we cannot ship to PO Boxes, Postbox addresses, or automated Packing Stations. A physical residential or business address must be provided.
  • ZIP/Postal Code Accuracy: Please format your ZIP code exactly as officially recognized in your country. Adding extra, non-official letters or characters can cause automated sorting machines to reject or delay your package.

7. Unclaimed, Refused, or Returned Packages

If a package is returned to our studio in Greece marked as “Unclaimed”, “Refused”, or “Insufficient Address”:

  • We will notify you immediately. We can resend the package to you, but you will be responsible for the additional shipping fees.
  • If you decide to cancel the order instead of reshipping, we will issue a refund for the item(s) purchased, minus the original shipping costs incurred by us.

8. Damaged Parcels & Delivery Safeguards

We pack everything to survive a rough journey, but should the worst happen:

  • Damaged Outer Packaging: If the mail carrier attempts to deliver a parcel that is visibly crushed, torn, or severely damaged, do not accept it. Instruct the carrier to return it to the sender. This allows us to handle the insurance claim directly with the carrier at no cost to you.
  • Damaged Contents: If the package looked fine but you open it to find the contents damaged, contact us at [email protected] within 48 hours. Please provide clear photos of the damaged item and the original box with the shipping label. We will arrange a replacement (if a similar item is available) or a full refund. Please do not discard the packaging until the claim is processed.

9. Holiday Seasons & Peak Periods

During high-volume shipping seasons (such as the Christmas period from November to January), global postal networks experience severe backlogs. If you are buying a gift for a specific date during these months, we highly recommend placing your order at least 4 to 5 weeks in advance to avoid disappointment.

10. International Customs, Import Duties & Taxes

If you are purchasing from outside the European Union (e.g., USA, UK, Canada, Asia, Oceania), your order may be subject to local import duties, customs tariffs, or VAT charged by your country’s customs authority. These charges are triggered when the package reaches your country and are the sole responsibility of the buyer. We are legally required to declare the accurate value of the items on the customs declaration form and cannot mark items as “gifts” to bypass these fees.
